perimeter security fencing - Palisade

Palisade Fencing in Cardiff

Security Steel Palisade fencing is an effective type of perimeter security fencing that is often utilized in various applications across Cardiff. Palisade fencing consists of robust vertical steel pales secured to horizontal rails, forming panels mounted on steel RSJ support posts. This fencing solution is popular for its high security and vandal resistance. It is designed to be difficult to cut and climb, thanks to the high-strength materials and lack of footholds, making it an ideal choice for those seeking quality fencing solutions to keep intruders out.

The steel pales of palisade fencing can come in D-section, W-section for enhanced security, or other sections available on request. The thickness of the pales depends on the height of the fence, while the pale head styles offer options such as rounded, rounded and notched, single-spiked, or splayed triple-spiked. Standard fixings for palisade fencing include galvanized steel bolts with tamper-resistant shear nuts, or stainless steel rivets for added security.

Why choose palisade fencing? One of the benefits of palisade over other types of fencing is the ease of adding extra security measures. Options include barbed wire, razor wire, rotating toppings, monitored electric pulse fencing, concrete sills, and buried pales. The gaps between the pales allow for visibility, which is beneficial for CCTV monitoring or for security personnel, assuming the angle of incidence is not too steep.

At Garden Kings, we ensure that our fence installation in Cardiff is handled by our own trained installers rather than casual labour, allowing us to guarantee the quality of the installation. Properly installed, palisade fencing offers long-lasting, maintenance-free security. However, if any damage occurs to the steel palisade fence, we can easily replace individual pales or entire panels.

How is palisade fencing used? Applications for palisade fencing include highways, railways, utility sites, commercial and industrial premises, airports, docks, waste recycling centres, schools, and sports grounds and leisure facilities. Based on project requirements, we can install palisade fencing at heights ranging from 0.9 to 4.0 m on flat, sloping, or undulating ground. The standard finish is durable, corrosion-resistant galvanizing to BS EN ISO 1461, or we can enhance it with polyester powder coating in various standard or custom colours, including black, green, and many more options to complement our landscaping services.
